This whitepaper serves as a guide to understanding the basics of the GEM Protocol, a P2P Flat token project based on blockchain technology.

The services of GEM Protocol are developed based on the MOVE protocol, which was created to implement Libra's philosophy on the blockchain, and designed branching off from Aptos blockchain technology. This aims to innovate financial services by utilizing the MOVE protocol and leading blockchain ecosystem technologies across various markets.
Furthermore, the GEM Protocol ecosystem has considered various development environments that can selectively accommodate the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) within the MOVE network while enabling migration through sidechains or connecting through specific Merkle bridges for some legacy environments. Consequently, it has been developed by referencing open-source project technologies and complying with the licenses of these open-source projects.
All functions described in this document include various external technologies for EVM-based DEFI integration and legacy SQL integration, developed by referencing each open-source source code. Therefore, all engineers can participate in the ecosystem in various ways, from translation, bug reporting, feature suggestions, code commits, to participation as governance entities.
This allows not only users familiar with the Web 3.0 ecosystem but also various Web 2 environments to connect, aiming to provide an easier environment for members to adapt to and participate in GEM's environment. Moreover, it aims to optimize elements necessary for the ecosystem beyond the limitations of EVM, targeting efficient service operations.
Each item described in this document is a result of this project, and all users utilizing it are considered to have agreed to and comply with all applied licenses.
